Pointers on using Ford touch up paint pen

Just looking for any pointers you might have on using Ford touch up paint? I've noticed (3) stone chips now (up from 1 before) and I bought some Ford touch up paint so looking to knock this out before the weather turns to garbage. I don't expect the chips to come out perfect but any tips or pointers would be greatly appreciated. T

When you use the abrasive point to clean out the chip, you don't need to go into the paint around it very much at all. Pretty much just focus on the bare metal exposed.

If you use the brush applicator for the color/base coat, you can brush off quite a bit of excess on the rim of the bottle before applying. It's runny and you really don't need much on the brush at all.

Keep a wet towel with you while doing this, because if you're quick enough you can wipe it off and retry again if you messed up or don't like the way it turned out. You have about 30 seconds to make that decision though before it starts tacking up

Often times I've used the tip of a tooth pick to to get the finer chips and scratches. Get it wet and dab, dab, dab. It's tedious but can produce some pretty fine results.
