I designed the clips to account for bare paint (stock) up to 2mm thick bed-lining (to match OEM and most aftermarket options). Since a few people have reached out in the past, I have an unlisted version of all the brackets that are designed specifically to accommodate listings up to 3.5mm thick. Those versions are made-to-order so they take more time, but I don't charge extra.

Good to know; and thanks for getting that out there. Might’ve saved me a few minutes, but I got mine to work. The SIBL is so thick on my truck it is a structural part of the unibody.

But based on the orders, it seems like most of the people who do order have a coating or liner... so I'm likely going to offer it as an official thing. It's more effort on my end to stock duplicates of all the Flexbed brackets, but I'd like to make it a bit easier for people if I can.

Thanks Austin! I appreciate the shout-out, I'm constantly adapting the design to find ways to make it better or look cleaner. I do my best to ship out orders as fast as I can, I remember yours came at the perfect time as I was packing other orders so I got it out right away!

Based on that feedback, I'll commit to keeping using that style of boxes (for as long as I can get them). They won't get cost reduced to something more basic.

But on the topic of gift giving, they perfectly fit the Yeti 10oz tumblers (that are on sale right now) .

For context, the original supplier pulled out back during the initial tariffs. I've been assessing different sourcing that wouldn't require increasing prices and I've narrowed it down. I'm still looking for Style A, but I will have Style B restocked in 4-6wks.

I know that's a bit in the future so in the meantime, I'm getting smaller sample orders (5-10pcs) expedited. I'm paying the difference so I can't do it at scale, but I know some in the community REALLY want them so I'm trying to meet that halfway.

I've been reluctant to add plugs in these area because this is exactly where I get water intrusion due to the tailgate gap. The factory installed plug & light are quite a bit further away and I haven't had any issues with that location. How water resistant are these? I'm considering adding one to the passenger side.

They are at least as weather resistant as the blank OEM covers Ford sold you with the truck. In my experience the fastening tabs on Mark's aftermarket devices are tighter and more robust, so these are probably an improvement.

Thanks @Carlitos_92. As he mentioned, I designed them to be fairly sealed from the front with some integrated water channels for water intrusion. From the back, I seal the connectors with dielectric grease to prevent water intrusion and corrosion at the blade connectors.

I have a '22 with the tailgate gap as well and haven't had any issues with mine. As a side note, some of the switches I order do have a gap where water could enter, so I rework them all by hand to seal them with RTV to ensure their reliability. Even though the chances are low, I take the issue seriously and want to ensure that people are able to rely on my products.
