Plug-N-Play Cigarette Socket Kit for Flexbed

I created a plug-n-play kit to install 12v cigarette sockets to replace the OEM Flexbed cover. The kit comes complete with the Flexbed connector, mounting bracket, and 12v socket. The newer versions I've been shipping have been upgraded with marine-grade wire and heat shrink for durability and corrosion resistance. The mounting bracket is universally sized to accept other sockets or USB-chargers that have a similar form factor.

I'm an engineer who likes to make things in my spare time, so my primary focus is making products that I can be proud of and helps fill a need/want in the community some way. I'm happy to answer any questions about the design, Flexbed, or take suggestions on what can be done to improve.

I have this unit installed. My feedback is that I’d rather the outlet not have the blue LED’s inside since they contribute (albeit very slightly) to battery drain after shutdown. Otherwise, fit and finish are spot on.

It's a low current LED so it should only a watt or around there. But I have updated the design based on feedback so there's no LED anymore. If you order something else, just remind me in the message and I'll include a replacement socket.

Oh yeah! I have a few people that have used them with the 12v coolers. I also use it to charge my power bank, but I also added an aux power input for the Flexbed so I can switch between charging and dispensing power. I detailed it in a different post in case what I did is helpful for you.

would also be interested in the light on the passenger side as I bought the storage box for the drivers side and it blocks the light (and the plug). Did not think of that when I ordered the truck.

They're going through my own testing to verify the specs are accurate. Once that's done, they'll be restocked on the website (estimating another week or two).

I care about quality and the engineering; it's one of the reasons I wanted to start this. I went back through the orders and compiled these stats. I don't state that I warranty my products to avoid abuse, but I do warranty items and haven't turned down a request yet. I consider anything that stems from design or material defect to be covered under warranty.
