Hello, I need to pick some brains here….

I just lost my second handicapped placard in the last year. The first one I thought must have fallen out of the truck and I went through the steps to get a new one. Then it happened again, and it wasn’t possible to have fallen out of the truck this time. So I’m wondering if it came off as I was removing the sunshield that I put in the windshield and slid between the windshield and dashboad. I tried to see what I could without pulling anything apart other than unlatching the glovebox. No luck.

Anyone here have experience with this? Anything easy-ish I can try? Or does it require a full dashboard disassembly? If it does, it’s probably easier just to go through the steps to replace the placard, again.

I can't imagine how it would just 'slip down' between the windshield and the dash...there's not much space there on my Maverick, but It's for basically the same reason on my previous vehicle...after one too many times picking it up off the floor, that I punched a couple holes in mine and attached a pair of small clear rubber suction cups to attach it to the windshield. Never have to worry about it ever again. Hope you find it though, I know what a pain it is having to replace one.

Would be highly unlikely to fall in there.

We switched to a permanent plate. Is that an option for you?
