Mildest winter this year that I can ever remember for me to. We still got some snow at times but it didn't last long. At one point we had 4 snows in a week had about 2ft of snow. A week later rain and above 32 degree temps and sun and it lasted a week or two. We are about half accumulation of snow this season I would estimate. The warmer temperatures mean either less firewood I need, or others less propane or natural gas, that's one good thing. Another less snow and ice less accidents so unless you own or work in a repair facility, it's good thing as well. I really like your truck. A little envious, I haven't got mine yet, the biggest is the tremor package. I did not get it for a few reasons not able to tow 4k and the less estimated fuel economy, and lowering the payload capacity. I'm really going to miss those lockers. Again congratulations on your new truck, and yes I'm envious, not to proud to admit it either.
I certainly get that! The tremor may not be the most useful maverick but in my opinion it’s has the nicest cosmetics. Lucky for me I don’t need the tow capacity so it’s fine but I certainly understand where your coming from!

I wouldn't say that. It's made for off road that where it excels at, or deep snow. Majority of my driving is not off road or deep snow. The few times I'm in deep snow or off road I could use the lockers and the suspension and increased ground clearance the time I'm on the road I still would have liked the suspension. Off road let's not forget the increase on the approach angle.

It's made for off road but still giving you or others a better ride on the road or off road. Unfortunately to get or achieve those advantages it lost a few items that myself and others need in a truck. So I definitely would not say "The tremor Maverick may not be the most useful Maverick". In many ways it is the most useful Maverick.

fair statement, to be honest the only reason i got the tremor is because my dealer had three allocations that were already ordered and the tremor was the only one with heated mirrors/seatsšŸ˜‚ i dont care as much for the seats their just for my missus but the mirrors is a must for me. now im happy with it because the tremor is unique looking which i like

I think you will appreciate it even more if you get the snow you normally get. Or if you make trips back to Labrador. The increased ground clearance and those lockers are a game changer, for sure.

Unless it's mandatory it's a personal opinion, that's something you have to decide. In Michigan it's not required. So I'm not a big fan on a front license plate or want it. Just something to get ripped off in deep snow and reduce aerodynamics which can result in extra noise and loss of fuel economy. Just something to catch dust and mud and make it more difficult to wash especially behind the license plate frame. Again that's my opinion or decision. Seeing it's your truck, it's your decision. I also like the looks of the Maverick without a front plate.

I think in states or provinces that don't require a front plate, many add it because of a favorite plate they already have. That may also affect ones decision.

Either way you decide your right, it's your truck. It's a great looking truck so with or without a front plate it's going to look good, that's a given.

do you hear the high pitch sound though?
Not from inside with the windows up. Otherwise the motor sounds Like most other small overly complex motors. Ticks, whirs, buzzes, like the finest tiny lil diesel engine from the 80s. The exhaust sounds better. But it feels really good when I get the opportunities to punch it!!!

The biggest contributor to the high pitch sound is the high pressure fuel pump, it's even louder if you open the hood while it's running and stand next to the truck. The XLT is also missing some sound absorbing materials in the front fenders which let's in more road noise than the Lariot models. The noise is easily drowned out by the radio.
Fender insulation p/n NZ6Z-16072-A and NZ6Z-16071-A if the road noise gets to be to much.

Welcome to the Tremor family!

Got the hard roll up installed but the dealership did a shitty job, I fixed it so it actually closes properly but I still need to get the gasket fixed. I can’t even enjoy the truck, someone let my cat out by accident on Sunday and she still hasn’t come home 😄
