Thanks - Prayers for your safety as Milton comes throughLooks great love the color
Beautiful truck!Hi folks, thought I would introduce my new daily driver, ordered 6/12, built 8/10 and delivered 8/30. Also some no prep photos if they might be of interest. This replaces my 2012 Fusion SEL V6 (which has been a great car).
My aim was to buy Ford's cheapest truck but have all the safety and convenience features the Fusion came with (backup camera, b/up sensors, cross traffic alert, blind spot monitors and Sony sound system). Also the Maverick has features the Fusion never had, including towing and hauling capability.
I am enjoying my new truck!

It was an option on 2021 orders. I considered it but I wanted black wheels to go with the black tint and trim on my red/orange truck. On other colors I think the silver looks much nicer though (like @FutureBoss's).Congrats!
That wheel/tire package wasn't available with the FX4 "back in my day" (July 2021). Much better than the FX4 black glossy wheels and terrible Pirellis.
Thanks! Ford caught lightning in a bottle with the Maverick, It’s a niche market similar to the Mustang. There are so many ways to personalize it, I’m still finding stuff to do.Looks really nice @FutureBoss ! It was an option on 2021 orders. I’ve had my Mav for ~32k and a bit over two years, I’m a huge fan of it. I tow a little, but I use the bed all the time and it’s really fantastic. I can also have 4 adults in the car for extended trips in comfort, or two plus my dog crate (and three if needed…but it’s a little tight next to the crate - crate is behind passenger seat, leaving rear drivers open-ish).Thanks! Thanks for your suggestions - I have done the floor mats, PPF and window tint, I am trying to decide between black and silver tailgate lettering. Also bed mat, tailgate assist, I have the kia homelink mirror but don't want to cut up wiring or run it all the way to the fusebox. I have seen the wiring harness thread and I may attempt to make my own, but it's not a high priority with me. Also I am trying to decide which tonneau cover, I want the hard tri-fold, there are lots of choices. I had not heard of Openpilot, that's intriguing.I’ve had my Mav for ~32k and a bit over two years, I’m a huge fan of it. I tow a little, but I use the bed all the time and it’s really fantastic. If I can make a suggestion or four:
- Rubber floor mats
- Tailgate lettering - I did matte black with my HPR orange/red paint, looks great (Etsy, cheap)
- PPF: at a minimum door sills, but also under door handles (very needed if people wear rings…) and edge of doors; and depending on your personal perspective, whole front end. Ford paint is very prone to chip, I regret not doing mine immediately
- Window tint - I only did 25%? on the fronts, it matches the rears but with how big the windows are, they let too much light in and I’d probably suggest something around 12-18% on the fronts and then whatever the tiny shop suggests over the OEM rear to get it approx the same or slightly darker than the front.
And then there is Openpilot

With your silver wheels and dark tint I bet you could go either way with the tailgate lettering, though I’d probably still go black. The Mav has a lot of black trim. But that’s just me, I find black accents easier. Thanks for your suggestions - I have done the floor mats, PPF and window tint, I am trying to decide between black and silver tailgate lettering. Hope you enjoy your truck as much as I have in ownership for one day. Really a wonderful ride. Looking forward to taking a trip to Seattle and seeing how it behaves on the open road. Thanks - wheels are a personal preference thing. I actually think the black wheels look good, I just like these better.
