Ford Fusion and Maverick XLT AWD ordered
From the memo recommended changes
6 Co-Pilot360 w/o XLT or Lariat Luxury Package Remove Co-Pilot360
7 XLT Luxury Package w/o Co-Pilot360 Remove XLT Luxury Package
Per discussion my dealership had with ford representatives in Detroit, Ford does not want to combine Luxury with Co pilot so they're asking people to drop one or the other.

The way it was explained by ford vid guy and the way it is worded is if you dont have both then you need to drop the 1 you do have. So either 360 and lux or none at all.
That's not what he said based off videos I watched and honestly doesn't make sense from a production standpoint

If it's chip related and both the luxury packages and the copilot share a module. It would make sense they don't want to waste the module on someone that only has one of the two items when they can build someone that has both.

That's how I understand it. Doesn't make sense but it is what it is. My build was both 360 and lux hybrid. According to the memo, my build was ok. But, I ordered on Nov. 12 and was very worried that I would not have it built this year, so I dropped both 360 and Lux. I live in SE Michigan and was looking forward to the heated features. Oh, well...

Also if you drop them and get pushed to my23 and want to add them back would cost you the raised prices.

I hadn’t bought a vehicle in many years. My Maverick came with the 360. After driving with it for 3 weeks, there is no way I would have cancelled it from my order. It makes driving so much safer.

Just received a phone call from my dealer here in Metro Detroit. Pertaining to memo sent out to ford dealership in regards to maverick orders for 2022. He said it does not apply to hybrid orders. They are planning to get every Hybrid 22 Maverick built. Although EB models if you want to see a build in 22 and not rolled over into MY23 they advised dealerships to tell customers to drop either 360 copilot or Luxury package. Ford does not want to build models with both packages. If you have both and do not want to remove one you are likely to have your build moved to a MY23.

Upon that news I opted to remove 360 copilot.

Ordered and Confirmed November 3rd 2021. Dealer told me myself and one other individual were next on their sheet and encouraged us to remove 360 to see our builds in 2022 model year.

Due to chip shortages this makes complete sense. They are trying to get as many orders built and combining both packages limits builds in a parts shortage (specifically computer chips). Therefore it seems Ford will be ignoring all builds with BOTH Luxury Package AND 360 Copilot.
How many chips do you think it takes to make a spray in bed liner? 😂 kidding aside, i hope it works out for you! I know everyone seems to be all in on the 360… but we’ve all driven for decades without a computer telling us where the cars around us are… we can continue to use our eye balls in my humble opinion lol do whatcha gotta do to get your truck!
