Just received a phone call from my dealer here in Metro Detroit. Pertaining to memo sent out to ford dealership in regards to maverick orders for 2022. He said it does not apply to hybrid orders. They are planning to get every Hybrid 22 Maverick built. Although EB models if you want to see a build in 22 and not rolled over into MY23 they advised dealerships to tell customers to drop either 360 copilot or Luxury package. Ford does not want to build models with both packages. If you have both and do not want to remove one you are likely to have your build moved to a MY23.

Upon that news I opted to remove 360 copilot.

Ordered and Confirmed November 3rd 2021. Dealer told me myself and one other individual were next on their sheet and encouraged us to remove 360 to see our builds in 2022 model year.

Due to chip shortages this makes complete sense. They are trying to get as many orders built and combining both packages limits builds in a parts shortage (specifically computer chips). Therefore it seems Ford will be ignoring all builds with BOTH Luxury Package AND 360 Copilot.

I think your dealer ought to reread the memo. I mean, he is a dealer and all.... Sounds to me like his logic is reversed. I can definitely see Ford being able to build all EB's if they wanted...

It is not a matter of wanting to or not. They certainly want to.. they do not have the chips to build every model with every feature. That is just a fact of Covid-19 manufacturing fallout. Having people have one option allows another vehicle without other option to be built. It makes complete sense.

I am simply relaying the message my Ford dealership in Detroit received with the memo that was sent out. If you have a build with both the luxury option and 360 ( which both require extra chips) the likelihood your build is selected over a model with one or the other is small at this point to secure a MY22 build.

Don't shoot the messenger

Not once did I shoot you (the messenger). My comment was solely upon your dealer. Thousands of people have read that memo and have not come to same conclusion as your dealer.

Apologies if I was not clear in my response. Dealer was told that information in addition to memo sent out. These were not comments made from their interpretation of memo. They received the memo- and also received that bit of information regarding Fords plans on remaining builds for MY22

Dropping the Lux pkg or the CP360 might work on the XLT, but AFAIK the only possible change on the Lariat would be to drop BOTH options.

That could very well be the case. Is 360 Copilot standard on the Lariat under the Lux package? I do not see why it would change for a XLT vs Lariat

If you add the Lariat Lux pkg, it requires adding the CP360 program. I think you can order the CP360 as a standalone, but not the Lux pkg.

I think this has to do with the adaptive cruise being standard on the Lariat lux which I'm guessing relies on some of the same sensors that CP 360 has

I dropped cp360 off my XLT order on Tuesday because of the memo. I kept my lux package though. I'm also in metro Detroit area and hoping that my number gets called very soon as my order was from June 14th. I've been seeing that they are pushing hard to get the oldest orders in que to be built for 22 model year.

What dealer did you purchase from? If you're not comfortable saying here feel free to PM me!
my dealer said he called me and one other person who were oldest orders. Luxury package is a MUST in Michigan but I can live without 360 as I've been driving 17 years and have never needed it before. So not a big deal. I'd rather ensure my truck gets here this summer!

Think you made your odds worse it said to drop 360 if not with lux memo 6 or if lux without 360 drop the lux memo 7

That's backwards and not correct. Only way to worsen your odds is going to a different trim model.

From the memo recommended changes
6 Co-Pilot360 w/o XLT or Lariat Luxury Package Remove Co-Pilot360
7 XLT Luxury Package w/o Co-Pilot360 Remove XLT Luxury Package

The way it was explained by ford vid guy and the way it is worded is if you dont have both then you need to drop the 1 you do have. So either 360 and lux or none at all.
