What? We are now Pets and not Dogs? It just got real folks!

You can already see Norman in my avatar so I will drop this little gem. This is Marvin, one of my Tarahumara Mountain Dwarf Boas. This is a locality bred boa that stays right around 3’ (Norman is now 7’- same species). His partner is Tammi, named by one of my fifth graders for “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”…clever right? Anyway, we have 11 snakes in our classroom- but I won’t get crazy

Snakes are cool! Love lizards and tortoises, too!

Always had Min-Pins, still have one and love him dearly.
Then we got a Rat Terrier…OMG what an awesome little dog.
Mac (aka “moose”) a shadow of his former self due to pancreatitis and Elli May showing a rare moment without a ball in her mouth…

Got my rat terrier in December 2020. Fell in love with the breed (then called Feists before being recognized by the AKC in 2012) when we lived in NC. Everyone out in the country had Ratties and Patterdale Terriers to keep the rodent population in check. Two outstanding breeds!

Love the story behind Lucy and Carly’s names—rescue pets always come with the best tales! Upgrading to a four-door to haul pups sounds like a solid plan, trucks really make life easier when you’ve got pets and gear. Just last week, while setting up a little habitat for some new critters, came across postpods.co.uk, which got me thinking about how much these small details add to pet care.
