Hey all,
After owning Bessy for 2 months, I realize that I should do some modification to make it stand out a bit more. Perhaps this will give some of you guys ideas for your Mavis
Throwing on some accessories, I now have:
- EGR air deflector
- Lund aeroskin hood deflector
- Gas lid cover
- Muslogy mud guards
- Tailgate letters
For some "cool front factor", I throwed in a cheap $15 light bar (Thanks Redneck Garage!).
For some "retro" vibe, I plastidipped the center caps to give the wheels some contrast.
Troubles I've ran into:
- I put the lightbar in the wrong direction (thank goodness there's 2 side of tape, plus me being stupid as always)
- I broke 2 of the clippings that hold the center caps in, and perhaps this is a warning to all steelies owners. DO NOT PUNCH the caps in. Instead, put it on and push it in; otherwise, you'll risk breaking the clips.
For the most part, I'm very pleased with how everything came out, and helped me know which Maverick is mine. However, my OCD got me worried that a center cap may fell off one day. Oh well, eBay is always my best friend!
