Well, I added Eco and Sport modes via Forscan and took my little mule Pepe out for a spin yesterday. Was figuring I'd get a mild boost from Sport. Holy sheep shit, was I ever surprised! Sport mode got my attention with the bonus of my head snapping back a bit. My old 4.0l 6 banger manual shift Ranger can be a hoot to drive at times too, but the Maverick in Sport mode gave this old fart a thrill! This mod alone was worth the cost of a used laptop and Forscan scanner, although I probably won't be using it that much. Still it's nice to know I can switch to Batmobile mode if I want to!

FWIW, when going through my dash settings I noticed the Trailer Anti-Sway option was checked from the factory. I unchecked that since I am not trailering, and will re-enable it when needed. I'm wondering if Ford disabled Sport and Eco on the FX4s because they don't want us off-roading or accidentally trailering in either of those. 🤔
Hey there I have a eco 3.0 AWD and a full tank of 93 octane and I agree with the sheep shit it launches like a rocket 🚀 that’s one bad ass veh !!! Enjoy your ride 😀👍

I would guess that focus groups said it's too many options to click through. Sport mode is a major loss, eco doesn't do jack sheet for me (and many other ecoboost owners).
Yea, paired with the sand and the mud/rut mode that would be too many clicks and if you miss one especially while driving, the focus is less on the road and more on the scrolling menu.

And same here, I find Eco to be totally pointless and the same went for my Escape Hybrid. Never enjoyed the sponginess of it and the MPG was the same as in Normal even during my hyper miling trials.

Every so often I'll throw the EB in sport while at a light, just for fun ;) If I didn't have the 245/65R17's it might actually feel a bit sportier. The stock 225's felt nice for that sort of stuff when I had them on.

Try it! I've had my XL for over a year and half and tried Sport mode yesterday! Wow it's impressive. Gas mileage....not impressive, mpgs started dropping in less than mile.
I tried mine yesterday by accident actually - I was like “whoa… what was that???!!”
Quite a significant difference if you ask me 🤗
