When I had my Prius, lots of people in PriusChat.com installed them. It's basically for those who really want to push the computer to the limit. It works, but with how much the Maverick's computer system as gone thru so many recalls, I would be afraid to install one of these.

I will tell you, I really like how the Maverick is quick to go. I really have no problem passing jerks on the highway. I haven't even tried the sport mode as I don't seem to need it.

A lot of folks in the Subaru groups use it, especially owners of the XT models. They say it makes throttle response faster and smoother.

I definitely would not recommend it. the first reason is that sport mode has more aggressive throttle mapping, so you can drive in sport mode if you want to have a little fun. (if you have a tremor or fx4 and don't have sport mode, you can add it with forscan. search for it.)

What I would do instead on an ecoboost is either a JB4 or one of the various different reflash devices. I like Cobb Tuning and it has a throttle remapping function so it can literally replace a pedal commander. These devices using premium 91/93 or E30 can deliver real gains. I think there are pros and cons to all of them. (You can search for that, too.)

Very satisfied with this hybrid's ability to get up and go. I have not used the SPORT mode very often because it goes about its business very smoothly in the NORMAL mode.

So, all the previous responses have no first-person experience with the Pedal Commander. Some of the comments are laughable. Have used the P.C. on numerous vehicles over the years with pleasurable results. Currently have a 2019 Acura RDX and 2023 Mav Tremor with the P.C. installed. I also have 5 Star Tuning custom tune on the Tremor. Totally different driving experience from a factory Maverick. Installed the P.C. b4 the tune. It has infinite adjustability. Really woke up the factory throttle response and allows you to tune it to your driving style.

I tried one on a different truck. All it does is push the pedal for you in a sense. I tried all the modes and I liked the one closest to stock.
As an example, if I want full throttle I can push the pedal all the way down. I don't need a device to do it with less throttle.
I sent it back.
I guess if you want a sensitive pedal go for it. That's all it does.
I like my truck set to normal or slippery. Sport is too sensitive on this truck for me.

Exactly, and the cost of the device is high enough that if you can just use that money towards a tune instead if you have an ecoboost, and get real power gains.

Plus as I mentioned a cobb tuning accessport has this functionality if for some reason you do want 50% throttle at 25% pedal position.

Ya, for some reason lots of people think the PC gives you more power. It could make one think it does I guess in a similar way loud exhaust does.

I have first hand experience with Pedal Commanders. Not on a Maverick specifically, but on a Subaru. It's a waste of money. Get a tune instead.
