Passenger Airbag Location

Was looking at the crash tests and can’t figure out where the panels for the passenger airbag deploy from. In the footage it looks like the passenger airbag opens up flaps above and below it (near the windshield) but only on the passenger side.

When I look at my Mav I can’t find any seam breaks for these flaps (on just the passenger side). Is it cosmetically seamless but designed to break open when the airbag deploys?

Yes, there are split points molded on the reverse side of the plastic where you can't see them. Likewise with the driver's airbag cover.

so....best not to have any dash mats to impede in airbag deployment for passenger?

was looking for this info so i could fig out where to mount my scangauge 3
