Decided to paint my rims. Used Raptor satin black wheel paint. And RustOleum satin black paint + primer for the caps because said adheres to plastic. I think came out pretty good. Cleaned, sanded w/ 400 grit, scotch brite scuffed, cleaned again and then Duplicolor prep spray and plastic adhesion spray. Let me know your thoughts.

IMO it looks better than the work truck colored stock ones.
Love your rear side exhaust by the way!

Stupid questions:
- Did you do all this while tires/rims were on the vehicle? I assume you just painted the outside. And what does scotch bright scuffed mean? I wanna do what you did.

Not stupid. I took wheels off. Jacked up truck on 4 jack stands. Washed rims with soap. Then scuffed them up with scotch brite pads (find these in any cleaning isle in a grocery store or Lowes etc..) to give the stock rims some texture for paint to adhere to (note: if you plan on going back to non-painted rims, they will be scratched up). washed again and dried. sprayed on a paint prep spray to really clean them. tucked playing cards around rim to protect tires from overspray. and painted them with many very light coats. dont even worry about coverage the first 5-10 coats. just very light until fully covered from many different angles. and yes, just the outside, but i did get in there where the holes are.
