I bought the silver centre caps and while I feel they look ok I ended up going with these Ford Police Interceptor Center Caps instead (DG1Z-1130-C) pictured on the bottom.

Just had to bend the tabs slightly and they are holding no issue.

If anyone is interested in purchasing the ones from the top photo I’ll be putting them on Ebay soon.

Right after I bought my Maverick, I found a set of brand new steel take off's on marketplace for $100. I bought them with intentions of getting them powder coated black while retaining the untouched factory wheels as spares. I don't have the extra money to get it done right now, so I decided to take a cheap route and paint the extra center caps black in the meantime. I hadn't seen anyone else do it yet, so I figured I'd show everyone. I think they look pretty decent, different at least.

How are these holding up almost a year later?
What kind of paint did you use?

Want to do this on my carb gray mav as I've always like the look. Had the steelies with black center caps on my old Jeep Wrangler.

I like the look. What type of paint did you use? I had Bushwhacker flares put on and have to wait til next year to update wheels and tires. Those continentals look so sissy on my truck.

You can read my post on the spray painting process here. Turned out great!

Anyone paint their center caps black with painted black beauty rings ? I suspect that would look best on the cheap, but would like to see if anyone else has tried it first.
