The rears have a filter on them. I have the same dilemma. Will you be using a DSP or Amp with DSP built in?

Yes I will be going with an AudioControl w/DSP built in if I decide to go active instead of passive. Also haven't decided if I will put any speakers in the rear, don't know if I can find a 4" speaker that will be able to keep up with the components.
