I just got my Mav XLT 4 days ago and check engine light turned on while I'm driving. I used my Fixd obd and it says Air Leak P2282. Is anyone has same problem?
P2282 is described as "Air Leak Between Throttle Body and Intake Valves Bank 1". This is set when the PCM detects an air leak that exceeds a calibrated limit for greater than 5 seconds. If the airflow entering the engine exceeds the airflow through the throttle, a leak is detected and this diagnostic fails. One likely culprit is that the air flow is coming from the PCV system, so be sure that both your dipstick and the oil filler cap are fully seated. Less likely are the crankcase pressure sensor or a vacuum hose that is damaged or disconnected. If this were an EB, we could see if the idle is rough or fast, or the engine stalls. But for hybrids this diagnosis is more problematic. I have not yet learned how to start the hybrid engine in "Maintenance" Mode to do idle testing, but it sure would be helpful at times like this. If anyone knows that secret handshake, please share!
