Hello All, I am a recent forum joiner and am excited about getting a new Maverick. I ordered online and in conjunction with my local dealer in mid July. (10th) I was given an order number of 4233 and since I have heard nothing yet from Ford and with out a vin# can't trace where I am in the que I am a little confused about when my truck will actually be built. Is the low number an indication of where I am in the que or is it a regional number that puts me a lot higher than it appears to be. I have read that there are upwards of 100K orders, I heard shortly after I had ordered that I was part of the 36K. Born impatient but more interested in knowing generally when it will be built. Thanks for any input you can give me on what the actual status is....

The order number is generated by your dealer. If you have not received an order confirmation email from Ford I would first suggest contacting your dealer to be sure they entered your email address into the Ford system when they placed the order. You could also contact Ford customer service directly to inquire about the status of your order.

Here is what the confirmation email looks like. Be sure to check your spam folder for it too.

Thanks for the replies, I did get a confirm from Ford (which I think that I idiotically deleted or they did). My dealer confirmed it was on order but with all the news lately about delays and such a high volume of orders I would just like to know approximately when it was going into production. I don't want to bug my dealer, although he's a great guy, there's only so much of me he should have to put up with.. lol

Ok glad you got your order confirmation email. Some people have never even got that.

As JJC said, all you can do at this point is sit back and wait. Review some of the posts on the forum to learn about which options may hold up production of your Maverick.

They are not built first come first served. Some people have ordered a couple weeks ago and have a production scheduled date while others ordered in June or July and have nothing yet.

What is your build? EcoBoost or Hybrid? Any add-ons? It's hard to say when you'll get scheduled, but if we know what you ordered, we might be able to give some guesses.
I ordered the Hybrid XLT with a few minor things (Mud flaps, full tire)

there was a reported 100K RESERVATIONS, not orders. Multiple people were hedging their bets for early build by placing multiple reservations at multiple dealers with no intention of ever converting them all to orders and following though on actual purchase. There's also a sizable group that did place an order and will wait for it to arrive and test drive at dealer- then decide to pay for it or walk away. There's also another group with personal deadlines that will cause them to walk away before their order is filled. I read someplace expectations are the conversion ratio of RESERVATIONS to actual ORDERS would be somewhere in the mid 60% range. Then subtract from that for groups I listed above and it will be considerably less completed sales.

The mud flaps are going to hold it up and the hybrids are being produced at 35 to 40% of total production for the 2022 model year.

Yep mud flaps are a build constraint. If you want a chance at getting it this year it would be best to remove these and probably any other minor accessories the dealer can add later if you want to increase your chances of getting scheduled.
