I work for a dealership. I know how scheduling works. Scheduling usually happens on Thursdays. So you will no sometime tomorrow whether you were scheduled this week or not.
Thanks sure is a lot of negativity out there but I have ordered a car before so if you are in a hurry don't order a vehicle. I trust my dealership so far they have given any time line but I ordered on Monday and they said the same thing if it got ordered they do it on Thursday and if it gets in they will send me a email

Lets see, I order my blue Xl hybrid with hitch and co pilot 360 . well in 22 but reordered in 23 for a 24..lol .. have a start build of 2/19 had that for 2 months now.. and even if they start on that date it will be minimum of a month from that plus shipping.. so no.. you don't have a clue.. but good luck. But this is what makes it fun and how you make new friends commiserating ..lol :D

Don't get discouraged by some of the stories of people waiting. I placed my order on 11/29, got an order confirm on 11/30 that also included a build date for this week. They started building it last week and last night my modules popped. So while some have waiting a long time, some have a short wait. You never really know.

I feel my local dealer was dishonest. In late December '23 they told me the "maverick order books" were closed and I could not order one. I took that to mean that no one could order mavericks anywhere, not just that dealer due to some allocation limit. The same day I went to a nearby dealer in a smaller town as they actually had a maverick on their lot we could check out and test drive. Then we sat at the computer with the dealer and they put our order in the same day, and I have now received a march '24 build date.
Your local dealer was not really dishonest: they just did not tell you everything. They had no more allocations and had closed their Maverick ordering. Some dealers might take an order hoping for more allocations and let you think you might get it, so be greatful. I note that they did not help you find another dealer, I guess it is a cutthroat business.

No he knew exactly what he was doing. His exact words were "The order banks for Mavericks are not open at this time". He did not say "our order banks" or "we have no allocations", etc.

How can we know the dealer still have enough enough allocation for our order?

Well I did get a email from Ford saying order confirmed with a time line with circles next circle says build date. Email said within the next 45 days I would get a build date.So I hope that's a good thing

You are really at their mercy (integrity?). Many dealers are pretty mum about their allocations, sometimes even keeping their sales staffs in the dark. Your best bet is to ask, look at this forum, review the good/bad list. Use your own judgement. A good dealer knows his allocation (this year) and won't intentionally take orders they don't have allocations for. For the 2023 model year, dealers did not know their Maverick allocations and assumed the wrong formula for what they would get, so many were not built.
Edit: I believe current allocation is based on a formula using previous Maverick, Escape, and Bronco (+sport) sales.

I ordered the same truck (with a couple more options) on 9/17/22, and got it 344 days later. Hopefully yours is not delayed further.

Ford should do away with allocations. It causes many problems.
