Ordered a bed extender from US Amazon

So after watching this video:

I pulled the trigger on this bed extender. It's actually cheaper to order it from Amazon.com, pay for shipping and duties than the same item costs from Amazon.ca! I have the drop in bedliner so it was a little difficult drilling through it to mount the thing that the bed extender hinges on. It comes with a guide so you can kind of figure out where to drill, which made things easier. You definitely will need a pair of long needle nose pliers to get into behind the back lights area.

Overall, very happy with it, used it a few times and really dig how it's more square shaped than the one from Ford (which is narrow & more triangular & wastes space).

I though about getting one as well but I wonder if it will come in the way of placing 4x8 plywood or drywall or similar products that use the wheel wells and mid position tailgate to rest on. Can this extender be easily taken off if need be?

Yes, it just slides into the mounts and has a pin that goes through 2 holes to lock it in. So you can remove it easily by sliding out the pin and pulling it out

after you unscrew the bolts holding them in, you just yank em out

Thanks but unknowing expected to see a wiring harness and plug type connector. The photos makes it look like nothing is there are some how tucked out of sight.
