Once I receive my order confirmation email from Ford, does that mean that I am good and the process has started? I received my email, but am scared that if there is additional paperwork needed that my dealership didn't have me fill out then things won't move forward. For example, my dealer sent me the order summary that has a place to sign on the bottom, but before I could even send that back I got the email from Ford confirming my order. And then when I asked my guy at the dealership if I needed to sign that he said no.

You're good. Now the waiting game begins. Once you've been selected for scheduling you will get another similar email, but it will contain your VIN.

Cool thanks! Do you know about how long it takes to be selected for scheduling?

How long after the dealer entered the order until you received the email from Ford?

I am not sure because I did it through email and when I woke up I had the email from him. I believe it was just a few minutes.

For me, it took one day before I received the confirmation email from Ford.

By the way, this confirmation email does not contain an order number.
I have not signed a DORA as many in this club have signed, though I already paid my deposit and received a store order number. Is this normal?

I would contact your dealer for a signed DORA. Your order is for sure in the Ford System though with confirmation. But another member on another thread once told me if your DORA is not signed and established then if you have a “bad” dealer they could try to mark up the price on arrival since there is no signed MSRP price agreement.

what is a DORA?
It is an order summary that shows what you ordered, the price of the truck agreed upon and all the prices of options. It would be signed by you as well agreeing to those terms.

Okay I did receive that but I already received my order confirmation from ford even though my dealer told me I didn't need to sign that. Does that make sense?

HYPOTHETICALLY...

It depends on what you've ordered. 2.0 Eco Boost will be faster than Hybrid. Every option and feature you add is subject to availability and constraints. There is a list of current national restraints on the forum somewhere. So for example, if you have a fully loaded Lariat Hybrid, I doubt you will see it soon. But a basic XL 2.0EB with no options could be scheduled next week. It's part lottery, part ordering what's available.

Did they get a copy of your ID? If not, I doubt they entered your info into ROVP (order verification tool). If so, they probably did and its a matter of time. I would push for a completed purchase agreement that is signed. Not just the DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgment) sheet. I have a PA signed for both my Bronco and Maverick that includes tax, title, tag, doc fees, any ADMs, etc. The only things not included are service plans/extended warranties. I always do those separate anyway.

They did take a copy of my ID and had me fill out some basic form. Then they asked for me to send my exact build over. The next day I got an email from my dealer with the "Preview Order" form, which has a place for me to sign at the bottom. I am pretty sure this is what you guys mean when you say DORA. However, they told me that I didn't need to sign that form. I guess I will try to push to get all the things done that you stated so I can just make sure everything goes smoothly.

Thanks, I will try to contact the dealer to sign a complete agreement including the MSRP price, tax, title fees.
