Hi everyone,
I tried looking in the search bar but couldn’t find help for my issue.
I have a 24’ lariat hybrid. I ordered the opt7 sidekick running board lights with hazards.

I took it to ORW for install. However they were unable to get them to work. They followed instructions. Wires connected to each blinker, the side marker light on drivers side. Negative to frame of truck. Positive is connected to the access point under hood with hybrid battery.
only a few of the lights work though. Read less than 1/4 of running board. They bench tested before install and it worked just fine.
I have gone back and forth with opt7 customer service and their only thought at this point is that the positive lead needs to be connected to 12v battery under rear bench seat.
I am incapable of doing this. I have no experience in auto mechanics/electrical. So looking at taking truck to another shop to have them take it apart and run lead to 12v under bench seat.
Before I spend more money on it though, does anyone have experience on this?
Or have these installed on their truck as well?
Do I need to run accessory lighting to the 12v under the seat instead of the access point under hood?
Is it even possible to run power to the 12v battery under the bench seat? I opened it up today but couldn’t figure out where an access point would be.
really appreciate any help on this. It’s been the bane of my existence. I’m also having trouble with tailgate bar. But want to get this working first.
