Just got off the phone with Ford customer service checking on my order. I had received an email weeks ago with a build week of June 20. Nope, now it is the first week of August. I ordered it August last year. Does it really make sense to deliver a 2022 model in 2023? Anyone giving up?
I am getting closer.

I started a similar thread the other day. I ordered June 19 and was confirmed by Ford by email June 23. Finally, a few weeks ago they gave me a June 13 build week and VIN. However, that was pushed back to June 27. Dealer has just advised me this has been pushed back again to week of August 1. Outrageous!

You are right, we are very close to my2023 and this will have an impact on what I can sell it for. My order is a fairly well loaded Lariat hybrid. This winter I bought a Ridgeline so I'm not needing the Maverick but I might make a few grand just putting it in the garage and selling it. But the more time it takes and the closer it gets to my2023, the less the 2022 might be worth.

If and when this thing ever arrives at the dealer I will have to make a decision. If the market is still hot and I think I can make money I will buy it and flip it. If the market is such where it is not worth my while I'll tell them to shove it and walk out the door.

Ordered and confirmed on July 16, 2021
Scheduled for production May 2, 2022
Built---
Awaiting shipping---
Shipped---
My production week was 5/2, didn't show in production until 5/9 and as of today 6/3 still says in production. My dealer says it was built 5/12 and they are currently scheduled to receive it 6/18 although no one has any confirmation that it's actually shipped. Ford customer service says they can't verify it was built but also see the delivery scheduled for 6/18 so they said that date will likely be updated... Ford customer service also said to check with the dealer for the most accurate info. The dealer has confirmed twice now on consecutive Fridays that it's built and a delivery date of 6/18 but also still no shipping info...
Today's update from the dealer, the truck was returned from the body shop on May 12 to the factory where it sat for 19 days, was released back to the body shop on May 31 where it is currently sitting and no one knows why. I asked for an update on estimated arrival dates that Ford provides and the dealer told me they are not accurate but said it still says June 18. The dealer also told me it would take approximately 3 weeks to get to the Delaware terminal and another week to be put on a truck and delivered to them once it's released for shipping which we have no idea when that will be so June 18 won't happen at this point. I'm thinking August or September at this point considering it's still at the body shop...
Ordered and confirmed on July 16, 2021
Scheduled for production May 2, 2022
Built---
Awaiting shipping---
Shipped---
June 20th and it's still showing as in Production...
July 16th 2021 order and confirmation
Build date May 2
In Production as of May 9
June 20 still in Production...
Being told it will be another 6-8 weeks for delivery once it's built and actually ships
If I'm lucky I may see it sometime in August...
I've been borrowing and renting vehicles since October, which is making the cost of this relatively inexpensive truck go way up. I had explained to the dealer that I was leasing a vehicle and would need to turn it in at the end of September. They said I could expect deliver in October which then became November or December, next I was told January or March...and here we are in June and still no truck....

Same here. Finally got my scheduled build date and vin for June 13th, then June 20th. Called today to check status when nothing was updated in tracker, told now July 25th with possible September 6th delivery, just shy of 1 year from order.

Yeah pretty close, been shopping around and there are better options but also not in stock. Looking at the Tuscon hybrid, if I could find one would pull the trigger.

If I drop my sunroof option then that will open up so many more options and save ~10k but I am not in need for a vehicle quite yet so I will wait for a bit.

The used car market has some great deals also. Almost got a hybrid with under 100k miles for 7k..

It is wrong that you ordered before the long line and are still waiting. People who ordered in Oct are alreay driving their Mavericks! Here is the Ford CEO Jim Farley email: [email protected] I am sure his assistant has the power put you to the front of the line where you belong.

so what other investment is going to give you the return that the maverick can (for now) if you decide to sell it
