Yes, but it's recycled french fry oil so it's greener and smells good.
Whoa dude, I’m on the west coast, no French fry oil here! Thats Quebec. We use the U.S. ‘Freedom oil’ 😆. And I use Pennzoil platinum full syn, and Mobil 1 oil filters. Does that meet your standards? Hope so, or I won’t be able to sleep tonight! 🤪

Not seeing any advantage to a drain plug insert in a drain plug hole. Feel the same about the Fumoto valve. Stock drain plug is about as simple, secure and efficient as it gets.

Change your oil when it's hot one time...😉

And some will tell you you're not wearing out/weakening the threads, or risking cross-threading, over torquing, under torquing, and on and on.....

With one of these the oil change is mess free. Right into the container. No mess. No fuss. And I'm saving at least $3 on paper towels. 😎

Been changing my oil for over 50 years and never had any of those problems. As far as hot oil, I learned early on start with a cold engine, drive around the block to warm it slightly and stir up any particulates, then do the oil change.

If someone tends to make big messes I can definitely see that being an advantage.
