Ohio Hunting Trip: Doing Truck Stuff!

I had a chance to drive out to Ohio last week and do some bowhunting for deer with a couple friends who live out there.

The Maverick did great on the 350-mile drive each way as well as during the hunt getting in and out of some muddy farm lanes to access my hunting areas.

On this trip I carried a Volcon Brat ebike using a Harbor Freight hitch-mounted motorcycle carrier. The carrier is absolutely perfect for this and it's easy to load and unlike the bike myself as it only weighs 86 pounds.

The bike also did great zipping around the farms and while it can't pull out a deer it can get you back to the truck quickly to retrieve your deer cart!

The Maverick may not have a huge bed but it's more than adequate for a buck and the Leitner Designs ACS Forged Bed Rack and storage pods held lots of my gear and kept it handy as I prepared to go into the woods each morning.

All in all a great trip and I will say the Maverick is proving to be a very capable hunting rig both locally around home and on road trips. It really does great off the pavement and while I haven't taken it anywhere crazy I haven't even come close to getting stuck yet.

Truck looks awesome! I love the addition of the E-Bike as well. Beautiful buck. Looks like an amazing time.
