Dealer called and said “Hey you’re truck won’t be made you can either switch to MY23 or switch to Ecoboost?” So, I called the Ford customer service line and got directed to Ford Maverick Marketing or whatever and she said that she was not aware of any of this and that it is false( I’ve seen it before on the forums so that’s why I called). What should I say to my dealer to be able to keep/stay in the MY22 order bank??

Just keep your order. Tell those jokers that you will wait for it and if it doesn’t show up change it to a MY23 in August. They won’t cancel it. I don’t think they can even switch it to an EcoBoost now. Please just keep the order.

I agree with Robert! I believe if you switch to ecoboost, you lose your original order date. If it rolls into MY23, you have a better chance at price protection and priority over people placing new 2023 orders. I also would tell them that you do not want any changes and I would call the GM and tell them to not allow the salesman to make those changes.

That motherfu cker saw the recent gas hike and tried to pull a fast one to get you to 'cancel' your order and change it to dealer stock so he can sell it for a markup. I'd be cautious of this dude, seems like a shady thing to do.
