New to the Club

Had a Chevy Colorado for over 20 years. Finally nickeled and dimed me to death so I sold it in January and planned to get a '24 Maverick. Didn't know anything about the stop-sale until I tried to buy one at the local dealership. Salesman pushed hard to get me to buy a '25 but I don't want to pay an extra 3k-6k for basically the same truck. Been waiting on the recall to get resolved, and I found the Maverick Truck Club while I was searching/researching trucks. I've really enjoyed looking at the different customizations posted on the site - particularly the wheel/tire combos. Hopefully, in the next month or so, I can get a new truck going. It looks like the recall fix might be about to happen later this month (according to posts here, and by the FordVideoGuy on YouTube). Until then, I'll keep checking out the posts to see what's new, get some more ideas, and get ready to go into debt.

Hello and welcome to MTC. Hope you and others can take delivery of the 24 asap. You know you just might go in debt but most likely less with the Ford Maverick vs a different truck. Even then the difference in mpg should help to offset some of that debt or investment depending on how one looks at it. Regardless I just hope you enjoy it as much, if not more than I and others who already are driving one, in some cases 2 or more.

Sorry to read about the Colorado. A phrase comes to mind "when one door closes another opens".

As Joe Strummer said, the '25 has many improvements for the money so think about it, and not to mention the '24 is now a year old.
