Well the time came. Age and being crippled with arthritis, we had to make the decision to sell our 2024 Chevy Colorado because it's just too high up for both of us to safely get into and out of anymore. Still want a pickup that was easy entry so I put a deposit today on a new 2025 XL Hybrid AWD.
This will be our very first Ford product either one of us has owned, so we're exploring new territory here. I have always liked the idea of and looks of the Maverick.
I for one will miss the brute power of the Turbomax engine in the 3rd gen Colorado, but life got in the way.....
By the way, buying this new Mav at $3200.00 off sticker, so good deals are out there

Hello and welcome to MTC. Don't forget to give us an update with a small review and some pictures of your new Maverick. I think you will enjoy your new truck.

Congrats! I also concluded the basest of base model Maverick was the best choice for the money. And you get 45mpg as well!

Ford products can be good, bad, or average. It's kind of a roll of the dice. Typically, any assembly defects will show up in the first 5-15k miles, and will be covered under warranty. Luckily, I don't think the UAW works in the Mexican factory where the Mav is assembled, so it may be of better production quality overall. I have stories of both Ford lemons and unexpected durability, so I have no strong opinion either way.

Hermosillo Sonora Mexico Ford assembly Plant has a great reputation

Thanks to the positive comments. As far as UAW goes, 35 year UAW member here and I so wish these were built in a US assembly plant, but they are not.
Incidentally, the Mexican auto unions are way more militant and disruptive than UAW members are here, there's way more of them in any given location vs equivalent US too...
That's my only comment on the previous post and I suspect this will be an excellent vehicle because by the end of the 4th year of production, they probably know the ins and outs of making them by now.....
