Hello all, I thought it might be good to introduce myself. To start off, I just purchased a brand new 2024 Maverick XLT EB AWD from my dealership. It was a special order that someone else had canceled and I was able to get it for myself. This is my first brand new vehicle I have ever purchased but not my first Ford. I drove an E250 through most of high school and would run it at the drag strip for fun in the summer. I had a 2008 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 with the 4.Slow motor, that was totaled by a city plow truck about ten years ago. I had a 2012 Focus SEL Hatchback with the famous DCT transmission, took that car to 244,000 miles on the original motor and transmission before selling it. I had a 2004 F150 XLT 4x4 that I had to sleeve the passenger side frame rail due to extensive rusting, I sold it when the body control module rusted out. I just got rid of my 2013 Ford Explorer Limited AWD. The dealership gave me 1500 for my Explorer with 154k miles on it because it had been hit by someone with no insurance and I never carried collision or comprehensive before. I just bought the Maverick to get a little better mileage driving to work and up north. It is my first ecoboost vehicle but I am no stranger to the common EB issues.
I work at a local auto parts store and have been in automotive for over 17 years. I am 33 years old and live with my widowed mother and help her around the house. I am six feet seven inches tall and I actually fit in the new Maverick better than my Exploder.
Thanks all who read all of this and I look forward to commenting on posts and helping other users out whenever possible. (My name is Pat by the way)
