Just got back. I would like to thank all on this site that report their findings and technical advise! Very informative.
First, to member Mighty Maverick, that is a gen one Rav 4L, 276,000 miles. Hopefully the Maverick produces those numbers as the Rav replacement.🤔
Second, your probably right about the topic name of New Model Maverick, sorry bout that.
Third, dad owned the original Maverick (only picture I have, notice CB radio antenna). His handle was the "Maverick "
Notice picture of his CB radio.

In the 70’s ford produced the Maverick. We owned 2 Grabber models. The two I owned were for my son and daughter to drive. They we’re great cars. The old phrase I like to use when giving a teen a car to drive is”The best air bag is a lot of metal”. There were no air bags in the 70’s so the Maverick was a midsize car with a lot of metal. My daughter experienced this when she was T-Boned. The Maverick took a shot on the right side between the wheel wells which pushed the right passenger door into the center counsel. My daughter walked away with a few bruise. I like to think my current Maverick would protect me the same way. My plate is 3RD MAV.
