I've been debating a while what my next vehicle will be. I have been between a small truck and a small SUV. I think I'm going Maverick. I want to purchase a vehicle in the second half of 2024. I should probably get an order in once they open back up later this year, right?

Absolutely, though you could try to get one off a dealer lot in the interim.
Just be prepared to wait and potentially wait some more.

Welcome. Last year Maverick orders opened on September 15th, and the entire 2023 production year was sold out one week later. In fact, Ford took orders for 50% more hybrids than they plan to make. If you want to buy a Maverick in the second half of 2024 it would make sense to place you order immediately when they open this fall.

But it would be best if you had a Plan B that would allow for purchase in the first half of 2024 in the very possible event that your order arrives before July of 2024.
