no primer?
I've got the paint match sprays on the way, just want to make sure I have everything on hand before beginning the job

No primer and one coat was probably enough (I did two because why not). The can I bought from Walmart was primer/paint all in one. To prove the point, I had to literally scrape off that little bit of overspray I got on my light. It was on pretty good.

I went full out ptm, just not crazy about em. Prefer the OEM option better, just waiting on USPS to get my harness here from custom auto works.

The Mabetts are barely visible in daytime with the smoked lens. Mine will be easy to see with the frosted lens.

What you've created using the stock side marker is exactly what I'd have preferred. I'd keep mine black, but it will work really well with your truck. It'll look great.
