After a year and half of experimenting, I found the best mileage comes with using normal mode for city street driving with daytime driving lights off. Using sport mode on the freeway without cruise control gets the best highway mileage. I know I will start a debate, but I also only use premium gas. After months on premium only, I tried regular 87 octane and it was horrible.
