Hi,
I've been on this forum since I got my new Mav and decided to post some thoughts after a couple of thousand miles. Its a Lariat AWD 2.0T Tow package. I'm very happy with the truck and don't really have any complaints, well except auto start/stop and lane departure bullshit.

After owning 7 F-150s and a 93 and 22 Ranger (Absolutely hated the 22 Ranger Ex Cab 2WD) it was time to get something smaller and that handled better. It does all I need plus more. I got mine from my dealer lot, I thought about waiting for a 25 and looked at the specs and the 24 is perfect. What really sold me was the physical climate controls, once I saw they were going into the touch screen I knew the 24 was the right choice.

Looking forward to being around here for a while.

I agree with the stop/start BS. The lane departure can be turned off with the button on the end of the turn single Leaver!

You replied to the wrong post not the OP. I personally don't have an issue with the start stop function and if I did I would just shut it off rather than whine on social media. My truck doesn't have the 360 so I don't have to deal with lane departure.

Of course I don't stop very often except in town but I appreciate how quite it is with the start stop function. Besides I'm all in for saving money and not smelling fumes or having a car behind me in the drive thru having to smell the fumes my truck would have made. JMHO

I was just mentioning that I didn't care for start/stop, hardly whining on social media.

O-H... I-O

Welcome to the club, Mark! And congratulations on getting your Maverick!

Now that you have it, perhaps one of the first mods is to add a Maverick Truck Club decal so you can properly “represent.”

See details at Maverick Truck Club Decal (Transfer) | MaverickTruckClub - 2022+ Ford Maverick Pickup Forum, News, Owners, Discussions ($6 delivered)

Congrats again on getting your Mav and thanks for considering.

Nice! Looks like you have a sunroof. I had that build in my 22 Lariat EB. As others wrote, you can turn off the lane feature using the button on the left [turn signal] stalk.

I got used to the stop start. When the signal turns green, just move your foot more slowly from the brake to allow the ICE to start. I live, in the land of $5/gallon 87, every saving helps. I was getting 32 mpg overall, my special order hybrid arrived and it was hard to part with the peppy 2.0 EB.

Now I have a 24 hybrid Lariat. Am about to take it on its first road trip.

If you have forscan or now someone that does Start/Stop can be completely disabled. I don't have the issue with Hybrid, but I disabled it for a fellow down here in Florida and he is as happy as a clam now that he does not have to bother with it. Just food for thought. Those are a nice rims, I like those much much better than the base Lariat rims.
