I was told by Service in Edmond Oklahoma that the model of vehicle I have will not be able to be equipped with a Neutral Bypass, which I received in writing. It is the 2.5L Auto CV Transmission. Initially when I had to have it towed in (YES it joined the Dead Maverick Club), they service said center console, push the "button", but when reviewing the area, no such thing there. Can it have the neutral bypass installed? It was dead on me again one day, but found it started the next but it seemed it went into the sleep mode. If I simply disengage my Ford Pass App will this keep the sleep mode from occurring on my truck, inhibiting the link as it were? So far after a recall and work from service it has been ok. I was going to sell my old 2010 RAV but frankly cannot trust the maverick to not be Dead. Thank you for everyone's input and expertise.

No clue what a "Neutral Bypass" is. The truck has Neutral, and there is a process to put it into "Neutral Tow" so it can be flat-towed (I do this).
The "Deep Sleep" process has been a puzzle. to me. Unlike some folks who have had 3-4 replacement batteries, I am on my original battery with no trouble. I sometimes get Deep Sleep notice within 30 minutes of parking it after a 30 mile run...or it can sit 10 days without starting and NOT go into deep sleep. I quit worrying about it and have a jump box in the truck in case I discover it to be dead...which has never happened.

I always lock it, even in the garage, and I think that might conserve battery. I've had mine for 10 months and only have a little less than 3000 miles driven, plus 2622 miles towed in "Neutral Tow."

The catch is that a dead (i.e. no OEM onboard power) HYBRID must have an external power source (like a Jump Box) available to supply enough temporary power to allow the user to turn on the vehicle and then follow the User Manual procedure to place the vehicle in "Tow Mode" and hope the vehicle does not come out of "Tow Mode" when it is powered off. Coming out of "Tow Mode" requires a different User Manual procedure altogether.

A dead HYBRID Maverick cannot be easily (mechanically) switched from "P" - to - "N" to be rolled out of a compromised position ... IMHO, this is a serious safety issue.

Given all the uncertainty about Deep Sleep, which @Ford Motor Company doesn't really provide any good, solid, complete information, a Jump Box in the truck is a pretty imperative accessory...for this and other reasons.
