Need some positive hybrid reports

Coming up on 6 months on our 22 XLT. Over 7,000 miles and the only issue has been having to re-boot the infotainment system twice after it locked up.

Love my Maverick. Issues? in our Tesla Model 3..yeah...lots and lots of issues.

Been living in/with my Maverick since Jan ‘22. There have been a few issues that the early Mavericks had, but still appreciate the truck.

The Hybrid engine is particularly handy for me since I can plug my trailer into the truck-bed power outlet to power the trailer inside outlets (eg for laptop, internet, lights). The hybrid engine will just occasionally turn on to charge the hybrid battery.

Nice! I was just looking at those Scamp 13s, never had a camper but thinking about one. Your setup looks like it's pretty close to to the max towing/payload numbers but I have to assume that you aren't having any issues. Care to comment? I'd love to hear how it handles. TIA

No issues, but I haven't done any of the recalls for my May 2022 build (post-harness). Letting the dealership get lots of practice and complaints before I let them touch mine for the airbags anyway. The grabby brakes don't bother me one bit and not overly concerned for the supposed fire risk yet. If I start reading about catastrophic engine failures with the Maverick, that'll motivate me for sure.

You are wise waiting on the airbag recall. They did a terrible job doing mine and it was many trips back to dealer to unfxck the things they broke or screwed up.

I get that the forum is a place to gather information, and it has been helpful for me.
But I could use a few positive Maverick experiences.

We have 2 a 22 and 23 no problems at all getting about 48 mpg on each

I sold mine and made 8k! Felt like a beta tester. Too many problems and Ford was of little help. No more first year models for me.

The only issues I've had are the 12v battery and a broken wire to the parking brake. Both done under warranty and easy fixes. I've got just under 20k on it in 9 months and it's been great! It tows my boat and ATV with no problems and is currently averaging 38 mpg overall.

And if you're looking for a dealer to do the airbag recall, New Brighton Ford in MN did mine perfectly!

Agree. The speakers aren't as bad as I feared. But the Sync-lite in my Lariat BAP (non-Luxe) has poor interface quality with Android Auto (both wired and AAWireless)(I have done the update).

But outside of a few hiccups, it is awesome to drive. Love the MPG and the road manners.

What do you mean by poor interface quality? I only ask because I have AAWireless that I plan on using. It has been great in my Subaru.

Just got AAWireless a week ago. It's working flawlessly.

I absolutely love my 22 XLT Hybrid. Have been patient with the airbag recall and grabby brakes. Had both of them done this week. The tech did a magnificent job with the airbag install and also took his time with the TSB2360 on the brakes. Everything is smooth and correct. No regrets. Chucked a bit yesterday. Drove 100 miles on nice highway WITH a 25-30 mph wind at my back. Trip showed MPG of 65.3 I l love racking up those all electric miles.

So far so good, but doing a long trip this week, probably 1500 miles at least. i have 10500 mile on the truck so far with no issues. Pray for me!

Understood! And no, I haven't seen a single CO Maverick yet in Maine or anywhere for that matter. Anyway, good luck and safe travels! I'll keep my eyes open for you.
