For anyone following along still, no updates from Ford corporate or any dealership. I have notifications on for a CV axle through CarID and that came in stock briefly yesterday. I presume I am not the only one waiting. It is a third party part though. I called a ford dealer and asked about the part number and they said it wasn't ford's part. That is nice though because now there is the option for another manufacturer if people cannot wait for fords warranty service. Also while I was on the phone with parts guy, he mentioned that 1100 units were on the way but he had no idea on arrival.

rockauto doesn't have it as far as I can find. Lakeland Ford parts has it with matching part number even. 107 there, can a dealership order parts from another dealership for warranty?
I work at a dealer, and we buy parts from other dealers frequently. It depends upon whether your dealer values customers or profits.

I work at a dealer, and we buy parts from other dealers frequently. It depends upon whether your dealer values customers or profits.
I called Lakeland and they didn't have it anyway but thank you for the information

update for anyone still here, I have heard nothing from the Ford rep here since the 15th, I messaged them on the 20th and again today. They said Ford Truck Dept and a dealership should be reaching out. I have heard from neither. I have no idea if they have even ordered a part for me. This doesn't seem to be working very well and is a bit disappointing.

Mine only lasted to 11k.
I forgot about this thread. It eventually got fixed. I am hoping a 3rd party makes beefier CV axles sometime soon. I will swap them myself just to not have to deal with it anymore. When I was initially looking into this, it seemed like the most common mechanical failure point on the trucks
