With turbocharged engines, you shouldn't do the factory recommended interval.

You should change the oil every 5,000 miles or every six months. Whichever comes first.

The factory DOES recommend 5Kmi/6month interval for severe use. I, like you, consider turbo heat a severe condition. 6month interval for me too.

The Factory also responsible for a few hundred recalls - there is that too.
