No Deposit. I was doing the X plan discount if you know what that is

@fordvideoguy talked about me in last Tue video. He said most likely the dealer didn’t complete my ROVP and the order never got approved. But I would call Ford and I asked early on because Tim B warned us. You never know how much the Ford call in number people know though. Tim said they are likely just covering for a Mistake. I thought same but good to hear it from Tim. Ford did issue a case number to investigate after about ten calls but two weeks later nothing. I ask for updates and they have stopped responding. I feel it’s equally bad they Ford knew of my order as they confirmed it by email but didn’t bother to alert me or the dealer to correct it if there was a problem. The dealer said they didn’t tell me because what good would it have done to give me bad news and get me angry. I told them it was like operating a pizza delivery and running out of cheese and not calling the people you ordered but instead just cancelling the pizza orders. I’m going to lose several thousand dollars in the MY23 price increase pulse the other price increases this year already. Plus I’m still driving a 13 mpg truck 82 miles per day.
Ohhhhh mannnnn!!! Maybe Tim can put you on Long McArthur's list incase someone who ordered a Maverick can't take it after all...?

Absolutely ludicrous bs story OP's dealer is trying to spin. No sales manager, gm, or regional manager has the authority to unilaterally cancel anybody's order. And then to add on to the lie and say they didn't bother to tell you because you would get mad as if you wouldn't inquire on status later on and find out anyways. Ford's memo to dealers did not remotely hint at anything these scum bags say they did. It simply said to reach out to unscheduled orders to remove constrained items to improve chances or to make arrangements to submit new order for MY23 when the ordering banks open.

They're lying so much they can't keep track of their lies. What about them acting like your order was good at the time of your paint color change?

Mistakes happen but to not have the integrity to take responsibility is what makes OP's situation infuriating.

If their story is true, tell them to put it in writing or an email. I'll bet my last dollar they'll add on to their lies with another lie as to why they won't do that.

I’ve asked for an email or anything showing that the Ford rep asked them to cancel my order. They didn’t say know. They just ignored my question but the general Mgr opened up his phone and showed me an excel list spreadsheet. I asked if my vin number was on there. He said he didn’t know. Well I was never scheduled so I don’t have a vin. All things point to multiple lies but I just don’t know why a dealer would lie? Are they just ignorant or flat lying. That say it with confidence to the point to make me think I’m the one who’s wrong but the things that they say just make zero sense.

The problem with lying is it gets harder to keep track of the lies on top of lies. Whether they finally admit to their ineptitude or not, it's not going to get you a MY22 order unfortunately. And their promise of making your MY23 order a priority without a verified MY22 order is suspect to me.

In all likelihood, you're going to be treated like any other new customer placing an order, and the lies will continue each time you query them about why your order hasn't been scheduled after 9 months while other legitimate rolled over customers have already gotten their trucks.

Move on to a better, reliable, reputable dealer and take the lessons learned with you but make sure you blast the scum bags on every online medium you can find. Dealerrater.com, BBB, Google reviews, yelp, fb etc...

I think Long McArthur is in my future. I used the local Georgia dealer because they were close, a small town dealer and allowed me to use the x-plan discount. Bad choice. I could see the red flags going in but hoped I was just over reacting. For example, I asked how many allocations they expected to get, they said oh Ford doesn’t do allocations. That was early on when they for sure did. Midstream they told me that Ford hadn’t sold any hybrids but there were customer reviews on YouTube and even one hybrid where I work. Crazy things like that. Still I would call ford and they would tell me my Order was good and in process. I told them I wanted to make sure my ROVP was good and they said it all looked good. That was about 5 month after I ordered. I called monthly all good. Maybe the Ford call in folks shovel crap so to speak and just tell you what you want to hear. I guess it’s time to give up.

You may want to consider Lithia Springs Ford. I have a 10/25 XL hybrid order through them They accepted X plan and I got my VIN and I am scheduled for an 8/22 build week.
