No. Just need to pass the tests I passed and I am ready to go. They dint make my car a total loss officially, so I still use my previous full coverage insurance.

Left my car at the Ford dealer today to do recalls, and possibly some software updates concerning the hybrid braking system ( TSB 22-2493, TSB 23-2059, TSB 23-2060), they didn't want to do extra updates and fixes, said technician will check if there is an issue.

P.S. Ordered a drop-in bed liner, using my points. Paid $244 total for it. (MSRP $415 + tax)

not yet. I tried to register my car yesterday, but DMV said the car is not reported as salvage, so they cant register it. If I come to the Ford dealer before the report, I will have free service with recalls.

So far I did for the registration:
- Light and Brakes alignment - $200
- Smog Check - $50
- VIN Check

I'm a little is confused about what is going on here...

Are you still paying on a loan, or did you have the title already?

If the title didn't change, why were you verifying the VIN and smog checking it?

And what is a light alignment???

Truck fully paid. I have title.

All of this needs to register salvage title in California. I have 10 days from may 5th to register my car as salvage.

So the insurance finally reported it as a salvage?

I'm trying to follow what you are doing but I do not understand this process.

After all, I need to get the salvage title first. If I can get full coverage without rebuilt title, maybe I don't need it. Tomorrow I will pick up my car from the dealer (they ordered airbags and replace them tomorrow). If it not be too late plan to go to DMV the same day.

If is a salvage, then that is likely a very acurate statement.

All car service sucks right now. My wif'es crappy Chrystler pacifica is at the dealership for the Nth time, 3 days to do a software update.

It is not officially salvaged yet. I need to do it myself. But I will not go to Ford for paid service.
I picked up my car in the morning. will register it tomorrow or Monday.
The next step is insurance. I will ask for a quote from AAA and compare it with my Geico.

On my third visit to DMV they got salvage notification from insurance. So my car is rebranded. Next step - Insurance

I did everything except Reg 31. we will see. I am not going to fix this frame bend. If patrol will not check the frame rails, I most likely pass their test.
