My hybrid Maverick is 15 miles away

Ordered my XLT hybrid (with bed mat, floor liners, and hitch) last July 13. It was finally built May 31. It’s showed shipping status since and apparently all Mavericks or at least the hybrids come across the Mexico border at Nogales AZ, I’ve been not so patiently waiting for dealer delivery in Chandler AZ. Stopped by the dealer couple days ago and my sales rep says it’s sitting in a distribution lot 15 miles away in PHX waiting to be trailered to my dealer. Over 3 weeks ‘shipping’ and only 163 miles from Nogales. Sheesh. Put a lot kid in that truck and drive it over 15 miles already!

Man, I know that’s rough. But, keep the faith and anticipation because the wait WILL end and it will be worth it.

Oh, and the sales rep reminded me that these trucks that aren’t claimed are selling for way over invoice on dealer lots. Yeah I know, like 9-10k over invoice from what I see.

My dealer dove 65 miles to San Antonio and picked my hybrid up without me even asking for him to do it. Only 15 days for transportation from Mexico. This all happened while I have been on vacation. He even made arrangements to have it put in my garage so it would not sit at dealership for two weeks with people asking to sit in it or drive it. Lucky I have a good salesman.

Hmmm, I’ll give it another week and ask the dealer to get it. 15 miles away is just stupid to let it sit there in the sun when I could be cruising chicks in it.
