Mud Paint Job - LOL

Went out after the rain just to mess around a little and somehow ended up baptizing the whole truck in mud.

Wasn’t trying to do anything wild. It just looked solid… until it wasn’t. Next thing I know the tires are flinging mud up the sides and I’m committed because turning around would’ve been way more embarrassing.

Didn’t air down. Didn’t plan it. Just kept it smooth and hoped for the best. It made it through and now it looks like I dipped it in chocolate.

Be honest; does Ford consider this “normal use” or am I about to get a love letter about my factory warranty?

I'm lowkey terrified to be too adventurous because of the thought of towing my hybrid with nothing solid to grab in the front, should it get stuck.

/as a geographer, the topo wrap makes my small scale bar the big scale bar, so to speak

That's fair; If you look on my hitch I have a pull point but luckily never had to use it!

Well done! Glad it made it through, with the hood covered it must have been deep. The only way I could see Ford giving yoiu a warranty problem is if you had hydro locked the engine, or is there was an electrical fault from mud and moisture shorting out a sensor or connection. The only thing I would worry about is if anything entered the differentials though the breathers. An early fluid change may be good preventative maintenance.

Probably a draw-back from your wrap...that will make it harder to clear mud off....

I did 1,000+ miles of both dust and mud trails over 3 weeks of the Lewis and Clark Trail last summer...The Ceramic Coating I applied to my 2022 Maverick lets the mud and dirt just slide off with a garden hose. Also added the largest mud flaps I could find...and definitely kept sides of truck cleaner.

Glad to know not every Mav is a babied polished street/garage only trucklet.

You should drive it in for a service looking like that and dare them to say something.

Play the MAN card and test Ford, when you pick it up raise hell if they didn’t wash it for you. :’P
