So, I have about 100 miles on my truck and the MPG says 34.2 mpg. So, how do I trip that mpg number and start over for the next trip? Or do must just keep it running and than does it just average out for the tank of gas you are on.

Please explain how it works with the recording of MPG tracker on the truck.

Thank you I'm old and slow so I know most would consider this an elementary question.

There are two trip odometer screens; Trip 1 & Trip 2.

Holding down the OK button on the steering wheel resets the screen you're currently viewing.

How is it easier to ask a forum question, wait, check responses, easier than just doing a search?

I'll post, wait, check for responses; Oh wait, I just searched. It's not.

I quit worrying about MPG after my first handful of fill ups. I know it’s gonna get 25-28 normal driving and close to 30or 31 on highway trips. I’ve navigated to the “calm screen” on my display now lol

The OP said they are old and slow. They also recognized the simplicity of the question. I will post dumb questions on here too just to get some engagement. This is my only social media and enjoy interacting with other Maverick people.

I leave trip 2 alone for overall average since day 1
Reset trip 1 for my tank full trips. I keep logged for work.
As the circle shows in the image its all done from the right steering wheel controls.
If you're old and slow then please do this while parked :ROFLMAO:

Bugs my daughter when I reset anything. She says, wash it, check the tires and oil, but don’t be dinging any bells on the dash and reprogramming stuff!

I reset my gauge and both trip 1 and 2 reset. What did I do wrong? I wanted trip 2 to stay total miles from day of purchase. Trip 2 reset to 0 when I reset trip 1 on my second refill.

it seems that forum and FB groups are the new Google. because doing the searching yourself is, well, too much work.🤷‍♂️

I don't know, but I read on here a while back that the trip odometer will auto reset after something like 5,000 or 10,000 miles - I forget which though.
I have almost 12k on mine and Trip 1 ODO did auto reset by itself at some point.

Same here. Once I ran 2 tanks through it after the lift and tires I figured it was about 2-3mpg lower on average. Still gets between 40-50 something on my commute and low 30s most of the time on the highway at 75 with hills. No need to stress over it now.

I just got 61.2 MPG at the end of a 24-mile round trip to the Ford dealer in DeLand, Florida. On the road trip, I expect around 36 MPG driving from Florida to Maryland and back.. The difference between city and highway.

I have only one trip meter. I do know how to do it.
