That's not bad, thanks for the info, I tend to over think things.
Well we're human, that's what we do. They say we only notice headwinds and not tailwinds. Sometimes the wind will be at your back, pushing the topper along. Other times your mileage will be crushed by a headwind.

It sucks that it leaks, yes. But for my first 5 winter road trips I was using a tarp in the rain. I think I'll be able to resolve the leak issue before too long. Also, I can't imagine having it be any shorter. I'm able to get inside and get all the way to the bulkhead. No carpet liner either. I can hose this puppy out. I'll post some pics soon.

Great point, very true, I was debating,(of course lol), about the carper liner, that would definitely make it easier to clean!

The carpet would be nice. I feel like I'm breathing in fiberglass. Touch it and it pokes you. Super splintery. Don't let me steer you wrong...

Seem like a spray can of Herculiner would cure that. Im not into a liner because we live in the tropics. Everything holds moisture here.

That is totally possible, it could alter bed turbulence enough to help.

Thanks for your insight, that's part of my struggle as well, along with the looks, I think the mx looks best, but do I need the extra height?
I think the only reason to buy the V series is if you like that look or you have a really low garage. MX is a no brainer, as in you wont brain yourself everytime you step under the window!🤕

Hello, I'm still doing my research before I purchase a topper, I'm hoping to hear how your mpg was affected after installing your topper, any feedback is appreciated, thanks!
I have a cab height ARE topper and noticed no change in mpg.
I get a solid 34 mpg 80/20 highway/city.

I'm glad that it doesn't affect the mpg, thanks for replying!

At least for hybrids any thing added to the truck can lower MPG.

..., I just wanted to see ... if I should expect a significant decrease in mpg if I install one on my Maverick.
"Significant" is the keyword here. I have no actual proof but I don't think that, in and of itself, a canopy would make much MPG difference. It weighs a few pounds but may help aerodynamics. Either way, a mile or two probably isn't considered significant.

I can live with that no problem.
