Mornings don't start with coffee. I started the Maverick.

In the morning, after the car twitched, the engine knocked after a 1 minute warm up - which I understand is the norm for a hybrid. I start driving underground car park, but my screen still has the ford logo on it. I have to stop and wait 5 minutes for it to load. I tried asking on Facebook in the Maverick groups but they delete this post. So much love for this model that my car doesn't fit into their reality.

List of frequently asked questions:
- Have you been to a dealer?
- Yes, there are no errors you are doing fine!

-Have you tried another phone!
-I don't even plug it in anymore!

-Have you tried a reboot or reset?
- Yes, I can reset the screen 2-3-4 times a day.

-Why did you buy this piece of shit?
-I'm an idiot.

What are you trying to illustrate with your video? It is loaded and ready to use at 20 seconds.

I started the car, warmed up for 1 minute, drove from level 2 to level 1, stopped waited about another minute. then I switched on the camera. The screen takes about 4-5 minutes in total to turn on.
Do you really think if it was 20 seconds I'd be taking video and posting here? LOL :cwl: :cwl: :cwl:

I don't know what to expect from you at this point, to be honest.

You took a 30-second video that is basically meaningless. Why bother, just so we can hear you sigh in frustration? LOL

I don't think that anyone here is going to be able to help you with your infotainment/productivity screen/sensor glitches. My suggestion is to find a dealer that is willing and able to help. That is my final suggestion. You could just blame Ford, call the Maverick a piece of shit and post more videos, but from what I've seen from them, none of it is normal behavior.

The more buttons and stuff you press while the infotainment system is booting up, the longer it takes for everything to stabilize, because you're putting too many demands on the CAN bus. You also risk crashing the Infotainment Center.

20+ seconds boot time is normal. If you cannot wait that long to start diddling with your distraction devices, you should sell your piece o' shit and get something that costs two or three times what a Maverick costs.

The MTC forum is here to help you.

I thought of a question that they did not ask -

 Have you tried taking a little nap while the system was loading up?

I can't press anything on the screen. I wait 4-5 minutes before it loads. It fades out, goes black, then the ford logo appears, then fades out again and so on for 5 minutes. It doesn't happen every day but it happens.

Hence why they are having trouble finding a solution for the backup camera fix.
20 Second boot time in a modern car is crazy and I know your not talking about the camera but little fact, camera is supposed to come on within a second (can't remember exact figure) of putting car in reverse.
