Modifying X15 Tonneau For Billie Bars

Used search trying to find member who re-installed his X15 tonneau with Billie Bars. Was about to get to work with my hacksaw and dremel, but figured it'd be smart to check in with the club first, as I've done in the past, for assistance. Usually pays off.

Anyone who has done this mod, can you post a photo of your cuts, so I can confirm that I'm on the right path, before I begin?

Well, I ended up going forward with the modification. Sharing photos for one side before I start working on the other side.

Will hit the bare metal with primer/paint and then start working on sealing the gaps another day.

Project going good so far.

I really didn't want to get rid of my X15 and buy another tonneau. I love the way the X15 looks, but these modifications are required to make it fit with the Billie Bars.

Okay, I have the X15 mod done, to allow it to work with Billie Bars. Attaching photos. The X15 can be rolled all the way up, under the bars, with minimal finessing.

Got a bit more efficent for the second side. Was able to make fewer cuts.

Will work on getting the bare metal painted and also ensuring a good seal where I made the cuts, to prevent water intrusion.

I was digging in my thread history and found a guy who I believe is also running Billie Bars with the X15 tonneau.

There won't be many of us out there. Mod is a PITA - not as bad as installing my 2" Eibach lift with the McPherson strut compressor, but still a pain. If I had the Billie Bars first, I probably would have bought a more compatible tonneau.
