The manual states the spec that you mentioned.
However under the hood it's a separate spec for the 2.0I.
Now go look at 5-30 motorcraft oil and you will see that spec that I mentioned which is also on the sticker under the hood.
Definitely contradiction compared to the manual

I'm going to the dealer for oil changes too for a similar reason: They provide a lifetime warrantee on all lubricated parts as long as I let them do all of the service on all lubricated systems at the appropriate intervals. It was not easy for me to transition to that, as I have always done my own oil changes my whole life. I feel like it's worth bending over for a hard one for that extra coverage.

I talked to my oil change people at Tillmans best place ever to change oil and Ford service they said just keep the receipts NO way am I doing 7500 miles between changes I trust Mobile 1 more than I would Ford they probably just buy bulk oil who knows the real quality. Dealers are just concerned about the truck getting through warranty... I ran my old 2.7 Tacoma 98000 on Mobile 1 and 1t still runs like a swiss watch NEVER used a drop of oil....Watched a lot of videos about Eco boost turbos being fried by not changing oil enough....

Your statement, highlighted, is not supported by data. Engines are not failing in any appreciable amount just past warranty.
Don't trust the internet. ;-)

Dealer doesn't care if it gets through warranty. They get paid for warranty work by corporate so if anything they'd rather it crap out before it expires

Any oil will work, doesn’t matter. Question is -How long? So just stick with what is recommended
