Since I never saw an answer to this before I got my truck, I figured I'd show the community how much packout gear fits in the bed.

You can fit four full size units (in my case, a mix of 2 drawer and 3 drawer toolboxes) with two dollies on the side.

Under an MX4 tonneau and on top of each full size unit, you can fit four half height, half width organizers, two half height full width organizers, two half width normal height organizers, or one full width nomal height organizer, a tool tray, or similar size item.

Between those and the tailgate, you can fit a tech bag, 15in structured tool bag, backpack, or similar behind each group of stuff.

There's open space for a work top and some random other items.

Here are pics of a normal "full load" when I go do field service.

So, serious question without judgement.

Why do you choose the tri-fold as opposed to the hard roll-up?

I race sailboats. I fold twice, leave the bed open, then pass a sail through the back window. The roll up blocks the back sliding window.

Cool, but if you fold three times, doesn’t it block more of the window? The roll-up doesn’t require that you roll it all the way up.

It would still have a hump, and I try to keep the sails from bending over tight radius.

Yea? Well.... I have a couple Dewalt bags and I paid too much for my Snap-On tool box 15 years ago.

So HA!

:ROFLMAO:;)
(Anyone that's ever been a mechanic knows those mobile tool shop trucks are basically our food trucks. I even have a damn back scratcher from Snap-On lol)

Great job and great answers to the usual questions. My answer would have been a bit different though - something like "Because that is what I chose and needed." "Next question please."

That’s why he folds it twice, like he said.

Tri fold cover is the best. Its solid, can hold up to 300 pounds (iirc), best or snowy areas, best security, cant cut it, and doesnt flap in wind and doesn’t look like a cheap tent is stretched to cover your bed.

OP: nice packout, it’s like a drug, I have some Packout for track days on the motorcycles!
