MaxMate soft roll up tonneau cover

Needed a cover to keep my bed dryish when we haul the stroller or other gear on road trips. I didn't want to spend crazy money on one of these so I took the chance on this MaxMate cover. It was around $200 with tax from amazon. I can't speak highly enough about this cover. Fit is nearly perfect. Installation was easy and took around 30 minutes after some slight adjusting to get the sides lined up evenly. Overall I'd say it looks pretty nice. Time will tell if it holds up, but it's hard to complain about it so far.

It does. Has 2 straps to secure it when rolled up.

Definitely a gamble. I'm in Florida so it's the ultimate UV test. If I can get a couple years out of it I will be happy.

Looks like it is a perfect match for you and your truck. Sure beats the crap out of the $1K+ I spent for my BAK Revolver hard rollup, but it was what I wanted and it has been great thus far. BTW: beautiful truck and hoping you are enjoying it like the rest of us.

Have you noticed any flapping while on the highway? It looks like it fits pretty good. I have an 80 mile per day commute and it would drive me crazy to see it flapping in the wind...

There is definitely some movement I can see in the rear view, but not to the point that it made noise or anything like that. It wasn't so bad that it would bother me, but I understand the concern for sure. I also didn't press the velcro along the bedsides to get it snug before I drove it after the install, so it might be less when I drive it again. I will add some detail to this post relating to that once I try it at highway speeds to really see what it does.

It does. It has a latch on each side that is released with a pull cable that releases both sides with a single pull. The cable is accessible with the tailgate down. I'd say it's more to keep people honest since the vinyl could easily be cut if someone really wanted in there.

I see my MaxMate billowing a bit and it concerned me...but after a 250 mile trip in the Wyoming winds at 70-80 mph, it was fine. I got home and checked and the velcro was still firmly attached on both rails. I suspect it was air coming in from the rear, but it was just the center.

It locks and you do not need to open it to open or close the tailgate. Better than my old Access LiteRyder on my S-10 where you had to open the cover before closing the tailgate.
