Maverick XLS build, lots of mods on that one : )

Owning an F 150, then a Prius for 200k km, I was happy when the Mav came out and finally got mine about 3 months ago.

I look at the XLT vs XL and found no value in the XLT vs the price. So here is what I did on my XL to make it a XLS (S for Sebastien, my name).

Leer 180 XL bed cap (for my dog)

Hydroflask S21SX464 21Oz Standard Flex Cap Indigo To fit in the door

NARUNDREN Puck Lights with Remote (6 Packs) To light the bed cover.

OHLPRO Heavy Duty Drill Base Tablet Holder Car Mount Dashboard. To mount my tablet.

Homaupt Car Seat Gap Filler, 2 Pack PU Leather Fill The Gap Between Seat and Center Console. To keep the car clean.

Caliper painted red (look better : ))

LED light inside the bedcover

Mabett mud flap

Kenwood excelon amp and ioneer 700w 8" sub under the back of the rear seat

Wolfbox G930 rear view mirror (don t see much with the bed cover on)

All this came down to 10,500$ CAD

Minus the LEER bed cover: 5,600$ CAD

My biggest surprise was the LEER bed cover color, it did not match the ford color, had it repainted for 800$...

But perhaps one of the missing mods is to add a Maverick Truck Club decal so you can properly “represent.”

that's allot of accessories.

it's a distinction that drives me nuts too. the only 'mods' my M2024 has are enabled things through Forscan (drive modes / features) and the F150 light/fog switch (a direct swap very minor 'mod') for Diode Dynamics foglights (accessory - albiet a fair amount of work to install). everything else I've done is accessories. if i do my 4WD 1"f 3/4"r level/lift (already have those parts, just timid over CV joints) I guess that might constitute a 'mod'? But even some might call those accessories as well as they are bolt-ons? If I do the Escape ST paddle shifter steering wheel retrofit or the Sync4 / 12" Transit LCD Screen Swap I'd be fair in calling those MODs as they are extensive modifications to wiring, hardware, and software.

Often when people use the word Modding... they really mean Personalizing... and the easiest way that's done is by adding Accessories. I don't think anyone is trying to convince anybody that they've done extensive work or fundamentally changed their vehicle (which is what modding really implies). We could be hard noses about the proper vacubulary, but in the end we all understand what the other is saying.

Sebas has definitely made this truck his own, the way he wants it.
